So question...how widely used is Xanga anymore?  Popularity of this will be judged on a comment system...meaning...if you dont comment, Xanga isn't at all popular anymore.  And if so, what is taking its place?

So...there is this girl in my life.  And believe me when I tell you she means more to me than anyone ever has.  She has a smile that literally melts clouds away on a rainy day.  She has a touch so soft and so warm that just a brush sends a rush to the very core of my heart.  Eyes that shine with life and glimmer with hope.  A laugh, oh a laugh to impart joy to all around.  The other great thing about this woman is her mind.  She is smart...sometimes too smart for me, or her own good even.  She seeks adventure and won't sit by while some one else gets one.  A bear or lion is no match for her.  But the funny thing is mice and raccoons scare her.  She has a heart that reaches to anyone around.  And arms that welcome the hurting.  Love and hate and every emotion in between...someday she might be able to teach to me.  She let me into her life what feels like so long ago.  We have had our fights, our misunderstandings, and heartaches.  But those times made the moments of joy, love, and peace that much sweeter.  God can allow many things into your life to question and test what you hold dear and why you hold it so.  Then you come to a moment where the world isn't banging down your door, no cares, no worries; just peace and stillness of heart and you know...simply know...

Interesting little test I stumbled upon.  I usually take things like this to see how well they really match up to who I am.  This one did a pretty good job.  It humored me for 10 minutes at the very least

Currently Listening: Declaration
- 09: Magnificent Obsession
I really can't get away from this today.  This is quickly becoming an outlet and overflow of what God is showing me.  Overall a good thing.  For three weeks I have been marveling at how God has gifted and seen fit to use SCC.  I know it was recommended in my last post, but it is just one of those times recommendation isn't enough.  It is quickly becoming the cry of my heart, not only for myself but everyone I care about and have influence with.  Anyone who knows me knows how much I believe in the power of music to cut through to our heart and soul.  This song the more I study it, listen to it, mediate on it, only becomes more and more beautiful in content, composition, and message.

"Magnificent Obsession" - Steven Curtis Chapman

Lord, You know how much
I want to know so much
In the way of answers and explanations
I have cried and prayed
And still I seem to stay
In the middle of life’s complications
All this pursuing leaves me feeling
like I’m chasing down the wind
But now it’s brought me back to You
And I can see again

This is everything I want
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You, Jesus
Be my magnificent obsession

So capture my heart again
Take me to depths I’ve never been
Into the riches of Your grace and Your mercy
Return me to the cross
And let me be completely lost
In the wonder of the love
That You’ve shown me
Cut through these chains that tie
me down to so many lesser things
Let all my dreams fall to the ground
Until this one remains

You are everything I want
And You are everything I need
Lord, You are all my heart desires
You are everything to me

You are everything I want
You are everything I need
I want You to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You
I want it all to be for You

Welcome to the newly designed site!   Feel free to  give me some feedback on what you think.   The design was inspired by the feeling running rampant in my heart lately of where I fall in the great scheme of the Universe that God has created.  It is so vast, full of mystery and beauty, and created that I might ultimately notice and give glory to its creator.  Mmmm...eternal perspective at 8:00 in the morning.  I LOVE IT!!!

Dwight...if I haven't said it yet; I love your Bible study.  Heck, I'll take it a step further.  I love you!  You keep me honest, humble, on my toes, and seeking truth above all else.  Pretty much the sharpening instrument of God in my life.  See Proverbs 27:17.

Jessica...so glad you are still alive.  You had us all worried there for a couple weeks.  Looking forward to partying with you the next couple weeks before you get busy again.

David...I am constantly amazed by your faith.  Wild at heart.  Deep in spirit.  Abounding in peace and love.  Example for many.

Shanna
...you have been much too busy lately.  (More likely me being too busy. :) ) For your continued insight to the feminine spirit, I thank you.  Much confusion would have existed without you.  And thanks for pursuing Stacy a little bit.  She needs it.

Steven Curtis Chapman
...your music is so money.  I love it.  Challenging, thought provoking, glorifying.  Recommend purchasing if you haven't already.  (Wait...did I just recommend BUYING music?)

Stacy...you know it already, and so does everyone else.  I love you.  Miss you.  Anxious to have you home even if it is only for a week.

Everyone else...continue in the work God has for you.  And listen to Magnificent Obsession.  Love you all.

Post Quote:  Psalms 8:1-4
O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
above the heavens.
From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,

the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which you have set in place,

what is man that you are mindful of him,

the son of man that you care for him?
